The latest single from Casper Skulls, ‘Ouija’, has dropped alongside their phenomenal new album, Knows No Kindness. It’s a tense track that builds slowly, ebbing and flowing as it wanders towards its thick-textured closing moments. Folky inflections add a unique flair to what is mostly a stripped-back rock track that allows Melanie St-Pierre’s voice to take control. She wrote the track for her late grandmother, explaining that it’s “is about wanting to talk to her again now as an adult pursuing the same path she left behind.” Knows No Kindness is the band’s second, and best, album.
